Editor's note:  Sorry for the delayed post. I had a little trouble getting photos/internet access to work together for me. Hope you enjoy this glimpse of the last days of IUHPFL Saint Brieuc 2023!

We spent much of the last week getting ready for the Farewell show, the Program Magazine, and our trip to Paris.

The Farewell Show

This is such an incredibly talented and creative group, and the host families were absolutely wowed by the student performances!  We can't wait for them to see the original artwork, poetry, open letters, and pages of pure fun in the magazine that the students created.  As a preview, though, here is the cover for Wednesday night's show with calligraphy by Sophia and artwork by Ana -- all completed in a short 20 minutes.  😳

The show was absolutely amazing, and the host families commented on how impressed they were not only by how talented the students were, but also their willingness to share those talents in front of an audience.  Students sang, danced, performed sketches, read poetry...it was truly a variety show created by and starring the kids -- and even emceed by one of them as well!

Here are a few photos from rehearsals and from the Farewell Show (and the after party):

Then we were off to Versailles and Paris! It was a whirlwind couple of days, but the group was able to see and experience the unequalled Versailles palace, take a boat tour on the Seine, visit several amazing museums (the Orangerie, the Louvre, and the Musée d'Orsay) and a number of iconic Parisian sights, including Montmartre, the Place de la Concorde, l'Opéra Garnier, Galeries Lafayette, the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Elysées, and enjoy a pizza party on the Eiffel Tower on our last night! 😍 It was an exhausting yet exhilarating three days together to cap our unforgettable summer together.

(Photos not uploading.  Will post Paris photos ASAP!)
